Even since I was a wee tot...ok maybe not a tot, more like when I was a young girl, I remember sampling the goodies my mother used to experiment with. Now and then, she would try a new recipe from her many cookbooks or from the many recipes she used to snip from magazines and newspapers. Some were a hit and miss while others were wiped out in a flash :p She tried anything from a variety of cookies to pineapple tarts to love letters to cakes.
Ever since then, I have enjoyed the whole process of creating wonderful treats for the tummy. It was a shame we were not in the possesion of a decent huge oven, or a decent mixer. Just simple appliances that could produce goodies that kept us kids happy enough :p
Over the years I have been baking on and off, in between trying to make a living, getting married and having kids. It's been a busy life for me so far.... whew! Now that the kids are slightly older and do not need to stick by me day in and day out, I can finally get back to my passion! BAKING! YAY! Stay tuned as I embark on my new journey towards creating bakes and treats that will fuel your soul and expand your wasitline :p
