A Snow White Princess cake for birthday girl Ashlyn. To cater enough cake for all the children at her school, we decided to have Snow White in a forest scene and hence, there were the two tree stump cakes in the background in case the we ran out of "skirt cake" :p

Music Lover's 21st Birthday
This 2-tier cake was for a music lover's 21st birthday. She told me her idea of a dream cake with the elements that she wanted on the cake and I'm glad I was able to make her dream cake for her journey into adulthood :)

Birthday girl Sophie loves Cera, the cute triceratops from the movie The Land Before Time. Hence, her doting daddy got me to make her birthday cake in the form of Cera.

High heel shoe with shoebox cake
I was told the birthday girl likes shopping, shoes and bags so we decided on a cake that is related to one of those elements. I've done a shoe before, but I really wanted to try doing another one, especially since I was given free reign of the design and I was eager to try out some new techniques :) I love it when I'm trusted to come up with a design for a cake. I am free to excercise my creativity!
I loved how the shoe turned out, especially the shimmer effect I applied to the "fabric" of the shoe. And this must be one of my favourite colour combis, pink and dark brown! Pretty!

Nikon Camera Cake
It was my friend's hubby's 30th birthday and he's a big photography buff. So she requested for a cake in the shape of his camera, a Nikon D700.
I decided to complete the whole look by adding in photographs of himself with his family. The camera is all cake. You can even eat the lens!

May The Force be With You!!!
A few months back, a good friend contacted me about a surprise birthday party for her hubby. By virtue of the fact that he is a huge Star Wars fan, she wanted a Star Wars birthday cake that will wow and blow the whole party away. We threw ideas about and in the end, it was decided that we would do a 3D R2D2 cake.
On top of that, there would also be cookie pop favours for the birthday guests... yes the birthday boy is still young at heart :)
PARTY TIME!
Birthday boy distributing cookie pops!
Food! Food! Food!
Birthday boy and wifey!
"Happy Birthday to you!!!!!!"
Performing brain surgery :p
I was in charge of "dissecting" R2D2 since I knew where his "skeleton" would be hahahaha!! R2D2's head is made from yummy moist Luscious Vanilla Bean cake with Vanilla buttercream. The funniest thing was the guests "screamed" in sympathy pain as I pulled apart and slice up R2D2 meticulously, it was so funny! I was never happier cutting up a cake, I dunno why....hmmmm :p
That's me with my blood, sweat and tears of a cake! I hardly ever get to take a picture together with a cake I made. This is a rare occasion since I was also a guest at the party :)

Super Mario Mushroom
The birthday boy loves the Super Mario game and so his girlfriend decided to get this cake for him. This is the 1 UP mushroom from the game sitting on top of a block where Mario is supposed to hit it to get points. Ok... I know this might not make sense and I'm not that good at game-speak.. but if you are familiar with the game, I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about :)
Mushroom and block are all made of cake.

Stitch by the beach!
The birthday girl's sister ordered this for her beloved sister's birthday. She wanted Stitch on the cake and left the rest of the design to me.
Well, the story of Stitch takes place on one of the Hawaiin island (can't remember which though!) and what would you associate Hawaii with, other than leis? Yes, the beach! Sun, surf and sea!!

More Mahjong!
Here's another set of mahjong tiles for a mummy's birthday. Seems like mahjong is really popular! I don't play so I don't really understand how the game goes but as far as I know, you really need an alert mind to win. So by that token, I guess that is a good reason to play to exercise the mind!

Ferragamo Shoe for a Princess
Pretty girls deserve pretty things :) Here's a pretty birthday cake for the birthday princess Jasmin in her favourite pink! A Ferragamo shoe presented on a pillow!
Mercedes Benz E-class Saloon
I was asked if I could make a Mercedes E-class Saloon for a daddy's birthday and I don't know what possessed me to say yes... hahaha.... I was sure I could do it, I had the steps thought out in my head, I planned what I was supposed to do and I was pretty sure I could pull it off.
Well, I didn't expect symmetry to be such a difficult thing to achieve :( it was tough getting both sides of the car to look even...needless to say, it wasn't as symmetrical as I hoped it would be :( sigh.... But at least you can tell it's a car! er...right?
