A Kiss Goodbye!

L ordered these cookies as good-bye presents for her colleagues. She chose the image of a lip as that had something to do with her name which was really apt! OARsome was a play on the word as the acronym OAR stood for something that everyone had in common...well, can't say too much but it's a nice play on the word :)

Chinese New Year Cookies!

CNY rolls round again but I've been so busy I haven't had time to bake much. But what is CNY without baking cookies?? So I decided to do a couple of simple ones; Crunchy Cornflake Cookies and Almond Cookies. Had planned for so many more, but lacked the time and energy. Guess it'll have to wait till next year then.

Limited Edition Cool Minty Chocolate Cookies

I came across these limited edition Chocolate and Mint Chips while I was overseas earlier this year. I couldn't resist and I simply couldn't pass on them so I lugged a few packs back on my 18 hour flight home :p

(those green dots on the cookies are the minty chips!)

These Chocolate Mint Chip Cookies may not look spectacular, but they sure taste yum! I'm guilty of swiping like 10 at one go!I decided to put the cookie jar out of sight before I finished them all myself!

Rich chocolaty morsels complemented with the cool taste of mint....reminds me of those After Eight chocolate thin mints.

Anyone who wants some had better order soon as these are limited edition and I've only got a few packs left of the mint chips left!!

The Other Chocolate Chip Cookie

My son was invited to a classmate's party so I thought I'd make a batch of cookies for the kids. Which kid wouldn't like Chocolate Chip Cookies? I decided to use the other recipe that I had which was slightly different from the usual ones that I make, just for a nice change of taste. Slightly crunchy on the outside, and yum yum chewy on the inside! Needless to say, it was bad for my diet.....me and hubby cleaned out the extra cookies at one go, and I didn't need my cookie jar in the end :p Oh the horrors, I'm such a cookie monster, put cookies in front of me and I wipe them out!! Time to hit the gym!!

Rich Chocolate Cookies

I was experimenting with a a new recipe for something new (hmm) and after I was done I had leftover dough, which should never ever go to waste. So leftover dough became rich little chocolate cookies.

To double the chocolate quotient, I threw in generous amounts of chocolate chips. These little chocolate morsels packed a great chocolaty punch.

For another batch I baked, I studded them with colourful mini M&Ms. These are usually the highlight for kids. Somehow, kids go crazy when they see these little colourful orbs of chocolate.... well, actually, so do I! Hahahaha....

Rainbow M&M Cookies

My son volunteered cookies for a party in school so it's up to mummy here to do the "hard work" hahaha...... Was thinking about what kids would love to see at a party and I thought, hmmm, colourful M&Ms will really entice the kids, so it was decided.

I call these the Happy Cookies cos they look so bright and colourful and so HAPPY!

Chinese New Year Almond Cookies

With Chinese New Year fast approaching and with all my grand plans of baking this year's goodies for the family instead of buying them from the stores, I thought it is never too early to start work :p

This was a small trial batch of Chinese New Year Almond cookies, just to make sure the recipe still works and that it doesn't give me any weird surprises when I get down to churning them out by the hundreds nearer to CNY. Yum!

Cookie madness!

I don't think I have ever baked so many cookies before. Seriously.

These Cookie pops were to be given as Christmas gifts to colleagues and child care teachers.

Almost 12 straight hours of baking and another 9 hours of wrapping, packing and ribbon-tying over two days for almost 200 Cookie pops! I was so worried I could not finish these two orders which i had to deliver on the same day.

Thankfully, I pulled it off, with help from hubby (who doesn't know how to bake, but he does know how to peel and stick stickers and pack the cookies hahaha.... and oh, not forgetting he's also the delivery man keke). Boy, was I relieved when I delivered the huge boxes of cookies to my friend and her friend...Whew! (wipe sweat off my forehead) :p

Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

This was for the hubby, who wanted a change. He wanted some crunch to the usual slightly chewy cookies I personally love to bake..and eat...hahah... I guess it's really a personal preference. Some people feel that the chewy texture of a cookie somehow makes the cookie seem as though it is stale or "lao hong". If it's crunchy, they are more assured of its freshness. Oh well, to-may-to, to-mah-to.... I'm perfectly happy to eat crunchy cookies too. I'm just happy when there are cookies to be had :p So here's the Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookie and a dash of white chocoalte chips thrown in for good measure.

For an extra chocolately kick, I added cocoa powder to a third of the the cookie dough for some Crunchy Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies. Happiness.

Cranberry Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies

It's been ages since I last baked shortbread cookies. It would be a nice change from the usual crunchy/chewy cookies I have been baking. Shortbread is full of butter, and yeah, lots of butter goes into each little cookie. Sounds sinful but heck, what's life is you don't "sin" once in a while :p I found the sweet chocolate chips nicely balanced out the taste of the slightly tart dried cranberries.

It was a nice change and the cranberries added a new texture to the moist, buttery cookie. Hubby wasn't too keen on the cranberries hidden in each cookie, but having said that, he personally isn't a fan of dried fruits, be it raisins or sultanas or cranberries. I guess it's a personal preference. Hmmm...but somehow, the cookies still disappeared pretty quickly into his tummy :o hahaha...

Oatmeal Scotchies!

After short break away on holiday and after a spell of the horrible flu, I had to get back to my oven soon. It just been too long without baking anything.

This time, I baked a batch of Oatmeal Scotchies - yummy chewy cookies with oatmeal and butterscotch. I would think they are reeeally healthy cos they have lots of oatmeal in them...heee heee :p
