Puffins!

Or in simple terms, Mini Chocolate Chip Pancake Muffins. Yes, a pancake in a muffin. No flipping needed. You get to eat yor pancakes at the same time as everyone else (I'm usually flipping so I get to eat last or not at all :p) Mini bites make them easy to eat and everyone's happy, especially the kids!

Limited Edition Cool Minty Chocolate Cookies

I came across these limited edition Chocolate and Mint Chips while I was overseas earlier this year. I couldn't resist and I simply couldn't pass on them so I lugged a few packs back on my 18 hour flight home :p

(those green dots on the cookies are the minty chips!)

These Chocolate Mint Chip Cookies may not look spectacular, but they sure taste yum! I'm guilty of swiping like 10 at one go!I decided to put the cookie jar out of sight before I finished them all myself!

Rich chocolaty morsels complemented with the cool taste of mint....reminds me of those After Eight chocolate thin mints.

Anyone who wants some had better order soon as these are limited edition and I've only got a few packs left of the mint chips left!!

The Other Chocolate Chip Cookie

My son was invited to a classmate's party so I thought I'd make a batch of cookies for the kids. Which kid wouldn't like Chocolate Chip Cookies? I decided to use the other recipe that I had which was slightly different from the usual ones that I make, just for a nice change of taste. Slightly crunchy on the outside, and yum yum chewy on the inside! Needless to say, it was bad for my diet.....me and hubby cleaned out the extra cookies at one go, and I didn't need my cookie jar in the end :p Oh the horrors, I'm such a cookie monster, put cookies in front of me and I wipe them out!! Time to hit the gym!!

Strawberry Shortcake Cookie Pops

My friend's daughter is crazy over Strawberry Shortcake. The last time I saw her, she showed off to me with much pride, her Strawberry Shortcake jeans. How cute! I guess Strawberry Shortcake has made a successful comeback after being in vogue more than 20 years ago, when I was a little girl...(oops!) :p

So for her 5th birthday, Little Miss Strawberry Shortcake's doting mummy decided that Little Miss Strawberry Shortcake shall have Strawberry Shortcake Cookie Pops to celebrate her birthday with her friends! These are rich chocolate cookies chock full of chocolate chips for extra chocolate oomph and studded with M&Ms for extra happy kids hahahaha! Yum! I had to stop myself from devouring them as the waft of sweet chocolate filled my kitchen....drool.....

Excuse the terrible pictures as I was lacking in natural light at 1am in the morning.....zzzz

Rich Chocolate Cookies

I was experimenting with a a new recipe for something new (hmm) and after I was done I had leftover dough, which should never ever go to waste. So leftover dough became rich little chocolate cookies.

To double the chocolate quotient, I threw in generous amounts of chocolate chips. These little chocolate morsels packed a great chocolaty punch.

For another batch I baked, I studded them with colourful mini M&Ms. These are usually the highlight for kids. Somehow, kids go crazy when they see these little colourful orbs of chocolate.... well, actually, so do I! Hahahaha....

Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

This was for the hubby, who wanted a change. He wanted some crunch to the usual slightly chewy cookies I personally love to bake..and eat...hahah... I guess it's really a personal preference. Some people feel that the chewy texture of a cookie somehow makes the cookie seem as though it is stale or "lao hong". If it's crunchy, they are more assured of its freshness. Oh well, to-may-to, to-mah-to.... I'm perfectly happy to eat crunchy cookies too. I'm just happy when there are cookies to be had :p So here's the Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookie and a dash of white chocoalte chips thrown in for good measure.

For an extra chocolately kick, I added cocoa powder to a third of the the cookie dough for some Crunchy Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies. Happiness.

Cranberry Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies

It's been ages since I last baked shortbread cookies. It would be a nice change from the usual crunchy/chewy cookies I have been baking. Shortbread is full of butter, and yeah, lots of butter goes into each little cookie. Sounds sinful but heck, what's life is you don't "sin" once in a while :p I found the sweet chocolate chips nicely balanced out the taste of the slightly tart dried cranberries.

It was a nice change and the cranberries added a new texture to the moist, buttery cookie. Hubby wasn't too keen on the cranberries hidden in each cookie, but having said that, he personally isn't a fan of dried fruits, be it raisins or sultanas or cranberries. I guess it's a personal preference. Hmmm...but somehow, the cookies still disappeared pretty quickly into his tummy :o hahaha...

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

I had an urge....a strong urge to....BAKE! MY hands were itching to bake something, anything! Or more specifically, I wanted to bake cookies. Maybe it's because I wanted to eat cookies, and since I enjoy baking, I wanted to bake cookies so I could eat cookies.

Anyway, couldn't tahan so when I went home, got the kids to bed, I got down to getting my hands in flour and butter. Oh yes, did I mention, a chocolate rush would do no harm? In fact, it does lots of good for my mood. So it was decided....Double Chocolate Chip cookies for me!

A cocoa-filled cookie chock full with dark chocolate and white chocolate bits.....mmmmmm....heaven!! I'm a happy girl :)

ps. excuse the horrible photos, it was late at night and I had terrible lighting :(

Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies with Butterscotch!

Improvisation is a good skill to have :) With leftover butterscotch chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips and cocoa powder, I decided to bake the Chocolate Lover's Ultimate cookie - Chocolate Chip cookeis with cocoa and a dash of butterscotch.

There is so much chocolate it shoots through the head to give you that buzzz! Ok i admit, the pictures kind of don't do justice to the cookies hahhaa, but don't think in that direction and you will be fine, k? :)

Double the Chips = Double Happiness!

Decided to have a change of pace and bake some cookies instead. As the saying goes, too many cooks spoil the broth...but does that apply to chocolate? Will too much chocolate spoil a cookie? Why...of course not!!

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies with both white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips! Whoa....chocolate overload? Not! hahahaha... Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside...simply lovely :) At least the hubby and son kept helping themselves to the cookies so I think that's a good sign :p

Only thing about this particular cookie is that it is paler in colour compared to the normal chocolate chip cookie because it does not call for brown sugar.

I finally got to use the glass cookie jars I bought some time back specially to store my home-baked cookies.

Packed some too for good friends of mine to enjoy on their flight back to Germany. Hope they had a "sweet" flight back home :)

Good Ol' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Decided on something relatively fool-proof today, was in the mood for something that didn't need much stressing over and which I could be sure would turn out pretty ok. Nothing much could go wrong with my usual choclate chip cookie recipe :) This recipe yields crunchy cookies. Threw in a handful of chopped almonds and voila! Choclate chip almond cookies that will satisfy any sweet tooth :)
