Gordon is the star today

Somehow, I can never remember which engine is which. Some are pretty obvious by colour, however, some other engines can really look quite similar. It takes a kid to teach an adult which engine is which and what sort of engines each one was. I didn't even know that there were tank engines and tender engines.

Apparently, they were different, tank engines are smaller and tender engines are regarded highly and only pulled passenger trains (something like that....:p) All these nuggests of info came from, who else, but my 6-year old son. He was my consutlant for this birthday cake! Hahaha!

Stephenie wanted a Gordon cake for her son Aaron. Like I said, sometimes I can't really distinguish between the engines so I asked my son to verify that I got the correct picture. Gordon isn't as common as Thomas, so I'm really glad I managed to find a nice picture of Gordon, SMILING. Gordon is usually frowning, and I don't think we want a frowning cake for a birthday party now, do we? :p I hope Aaron is happy with his whimsical, colourful Gordon cake!

Thomas & Friends for the party!

It's Ryan's 4th birthday and mummy Dawn wants to invite Thomas and his friends to the birthday party!

Well, in case you haven't guessed it, yes, those little trains are a favourite of Ryan's. What better way to send the birthday boy over the moon? :p

Update: 9 Nov 09

It was so nice to receive some pics in my mailbox from Dawn, I'm glad that the kids enjoyed themselves having fun choosing which engine to eat!

Thomas is in town again!

This is how popular Thomas and Friends are! This batch was done for a friend who wanted to surprise her 2 year old son on his birthday. We worked together on how she wanted the whole set-up to be and I just say, I was pretty happy with the results :) The pictures were a rush job though, unfortunately. Didn't have time to take better pics before the cupcakes were handed over. Oh well, some pics are better than no pics I suppose :)

Choo Choo!! Thomas and Friends are here!

The perennial favourite of all boys and even some girls, Thomas and Friends! It never ceases to amaze me how little kids can rattle off all the names of the different engines as well as their numbers! Somehow, there is a Thomas and Friends gene embedded in all the kids nowadays :p

Nevertheless, Thomas and Friends is a sweet little show featuring the antics and adventures of the little tank engines, diesel engines and other vehicles such as buses, tractors and even aeroplanes and helicopters.

These Thomas and Friends cupcakes were done for a friend's nephew who is turning 2. He love trains and cars and the like so his doting aunt knew she wouldn't go wrong with Thomas and his Friends :)

Choo choo!! Peep! Peep!
