Chewy Butterscotch Blondies

Or brownies, if you will....just that these "brownies" ain't brown since they do not contain chocolate, hence the term blondies, for those who are not already in the know of this piece of gastronomic nugget.

These blondies are strictly for those with a sweet tooth. They pack a such a sugary punch they will leave you deliriously sky-high...hahahaha....maybe I should go easy on the sugar :p

Chewy, dense, sweet, nutty.....what more could you ask for? A scoop of vanilla ice-cream of course! Just like the usual brownie, this blondie goes great with ice-cream. Cold ice-cream on a warm blondie, what an explosion of the senses!

Oatmeal Scotchies!

After short break away on holiday and after a spell of the horrible flu, I had to get back to my oven soon. It just been too long without baking anything.

This time, I baked a batch of Oatmeal Scotchies - yummy chewy cookies with oatmeal and butterscotch. I would think they are reeeally healthy cos they have lots of oatmeal in them...heee heee :p

White Chocolate Butterscotch Cookies

Been pretty busy with life recently and couldn't find the time to step into the kitchen (other than for the usual mundane household chores...yawn..). I finally had time today and as I was going through my baking stash, I found butterscotch chips and some leftover white chocolate chips. Oooo...this combi sounds pretty yummy... so ta-da!

I personally thought the texture of the cookie, which is crispy and slightly chewy on the inside, reminded myself of a Subway cookie. But hubby commented that mine tastes better...muahahahha.. :p Maybe you can try and decide for yourself? *wink* Anyone up for a cookie??
